Dollhouse stone fireplace

I added fireplaces downstairs in the living room and upstairs in the bedroom using paper clay, paint and charcoal.

First, I drew out the shape I wanted. Then I applied wood glue and sculpted on the stone one at a time. I also made a test sheet on the side.

Once dry, I first painted the test sheet to get the colors I wanted and then painted the actual fireplaces and then grouted them!

I really love how paper clay absorbs paint washes!
